Utility Locating

Utility LocatingEMC deploys Radiodetections RD8000, which is the latest in technology when it comes to line locating devices.

The RD8000 locating system is a newly designed utility pipe, cable, and line locating system.  Featuring 18 frequencies, circuit breakers, left-right arrows, peak & null mode, compass, true depth as well as a complete digital platform.  The RD8000 is versatile, reliable and durable.

As stated above, several frequencies and modes of operation are available to suit specific locating needs.  Available passive modes include 50Hz, and 60Hz power, radio and 31kHz CATV.  Available active modes include ELF (98/128) Hz, 577 Hz, 512 Hz, 640 Hz, 870 Hz, 940 Hz, 8 kHz, 33 kHz, 65 kHz, 83 kHz, 131 kHz and 200 kHz for use with Radiodetection transmitters.

The Radiodection RD8000 transmitter is designed to place signals on target lines by either physically clamping onto the line (Induction Clamping), attaching with a magnet (Direct Connection) or setting the transmitter directly on top of a pipeline (Broadcast Modes).
