Magnetic Surveys and Tools

Cesium Vapor magnetometers are useful in many geophysical applications because they provide measurements of the strength and direction of magnetic fields.  Typical cesium vapor magnetometers use one or more cesium filled sensor modules that log continuous data into an attached data console.  The cesium sensors measure the intensity of the magnetic field around the instrument, which is altered when in the vicinity of magnetic objects such as well casings or drums.  The location of the anomalous objects can then be pin-pointed accurately by using the real time data readings on the instrument.  The magnetometer data can also be used in conjunction with GPS data collection allowing for detailed magnetic contour maps of the surveyed area.

Applications for Magnetometer Surveys

Locating mineral deposits, oil/gas deposits, plugged and abandoned well casings, buried or submerged metals/structures, archaeological sites, landfills.
