In-Concrete GPR Surveys

Concrete and slab work often present contractors with a set of hazards that could result in either destruction of machinery or loss of personnel. Identifying objects contained within, and beneath concrete, is therefore essential before work can proceed. Our team is ready with safe and cost-effective Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) equipment to survey and demarcate the location of those objects within the slab. All, so you can better coordinate a safer and more functional work strategy!

We'll locate and map any rebar, post-tension cables, conduits, cables, and more, prior to the renovation work! By transmitting radio waves through every square inch of the slab and receiving the return signals, we can identify the location of foreign objects as a measure of the medium’s electrical properties (conductivity) and the velocity of the returning radio wave. Employing the use of GPR overcomes the costs, limitations, and harmful radiation of X-Ray devices, and are able to produce magnificent 3-D images of the structural steel which we arrange into detailed reports for your reference.

Notice:  GPR is the only imaging technique possible for situations involving a slab on grade.  Call us today to learn more about the advantages of GPR and turn your concrete project, transparent!
